Dr. Ripalta (Patty) Stabile received her Master degree cum laude in electrical engineering from the Politecnico of Bari (IT) in 2004. In 2005, she joined the National Nanotechnology Laboratory in Lecce (IT), where she received the Ph.D. degree in Nanoscience in 2008. In 2009, she moved to COBRA Research Institute, TU/e (NL), where she was appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and Assistant Professor in 2014 in the ECO (Electro-Optical Communication) group.
Her research interests include design, simulation, nanofabrication, characterization of organic and inorganic large-scale photonic circuits. In 2016 she has been awarded the Early Career Women in Photonics – Special Recognition for her contribution to large-scale photonic integrated circuits for high-connectivity and high capacity optical switches. She is expert of high-speed electronic control of on-chip integrated systems, as well as of high data capacity transceiver module assembly and active optical coupling.
She is author and co-author of more than 90 journal and conference papers in prestigious photonics conferences.
